The nearest Apple store is over 2,600 miles away from Dubai (UAE), but shoppers in the country along the Persian Gulf still have a place to find all the latest products and services–the authorized reseller iStyle store at the enormous Dubai Mall. The store features a glass façade that is reminiscent of the Fifth Avenue (NYC) store cube, wood floors, wall graphics and sidewall display tables. The iStyle Authorized Premium Reseller store opened in Prague (Czech Republic) earlier this month, with a store that includes many of the design features of U.S. stores–albeit the first generation prototype. Now renderings of the store have surfaced, matching others produced by Apple’s European architects to assist resellers when upgrading their stores. The renderings show white Corian furniture, white walls and large wall/hanging graphics.
A big crowd attended yesterday’s 2:30 p.m. grand opening of the iStyle Apple Premium Reseller store in Prague (Czech Republic) at Revolucni 3. The chain has other stores in central and eastern Europe that feature many of Apple’s state-side design features, including bright lighting and white Corian product display stands. The first 1,000 customers received a discount of about $70 on a 2 Gb silver iPod nano that retails for $240. It’s unlikely that Apple will ever open an official retail store in the Czech Republic, so it’s good to hear that reseller iStyle will open the country’s first Premium Apple Reseller store in Brno on October 3rd. Tipsters say a second iStyle store will open in Prague later this year. Before this, the country had an Apple Center in Prague and Brno, some mall booths, and this store-within-a-store at the Prague Bontonland megastore.
